本科专业介绍 (Introduction of Undergraduate Program)

生物医学工程是综合了生命科学、信息科学、材料科学、光电技术、纳米技术等领域的交叉学科。培养符合未来医疗健康发展需要、掌握生物医学工程领域的基础理论与工程技术的高级应用型人才。学生毕业后将具有较强的创新精神、工程实践能力和良好的科研素质,能在生物医学工程、医疗电子和医疗器械等领域从事研究与设计、产品与技术开发、工程应用及管理等方面工作。

 

 学院首批设置生物医学工程专业,拟开设医学纳米技术、生物医学仪器、生物医学信息三大方向。后续计划设置医学信息工程、医疗器械工程等专业,并以此来布局学院的科学研究、技术开发及人才培养体系。

 

 未来五年内,组建癌症精准诊断技术创新研发平台、纳米医学成像与诊断技术实验室、智能医学设备研发实验室、健康大数据实验室等,在拓宽基础研究领域的同时,加大相关产业的基础研究积累,加强成果技术转化和产业化发展。

  Biomedical Engineering (BME) is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medical health using the interdisciplinary subjects including life science, informatics, material science, optoelectronic technology and nanotechnology. During the 4-year undergraduate program, BME students will be trained in both theoretical and practical ways to develop their fundamental knowledge and engineering techniques, which is beneficial to their career development in biomedical fields. Our BME students are highly encouraged to join leading-edge research projects for product/technology development in fields of biomedical engineering, medical electronics and apparatus.

   The BME program offers three optional specialties, including medical nanotechnology, biomedical apparatus and biomedical informatics. With the development of College of Health Science and Environmental Engineering, two more programs (Medical Informatics and Medical Apparatus) will be established in the near future. Such program design will benefit our college in all aspects, including scientific research, technology development and talent training systems.

   In the following five years, the college will establish an Innovative Cancer Research and Development Platform as well as many research laboratories, including Nano-medical Imaging and Cancer Diagnosis Lab, Intelligent Medical Device Research and Development Lab, and Big Data & Health Analytics Lab. Our college will focus on exploring new research areas and accumulating achievements, facilitating the conversion of research results into manufacturing and industry development.
